Google newest app designed specifically for kids with kids-friendly interface and contents.

The main menu consists of shows, music, learning and explore and a search button.

Google has a notify YouTube feature where as parent, if you see some videos not appropriate for your kids, you can directly notify for YouTube to check and later to remove if really not appropriate.

Parents can also turn off search, in case you want a more contained experience for your kids.

There is also a built-in timer where you can set and limit your kids usage, so whenever time has reached, the app will stop playing videos.

One feature does not exists yet and requested by many parents is feature to play video even without internet connection, because it can happen where they have a WiFi only tablet and they are bringing their kids with them to the groceries, as of current version YouTube Kids app will not play videos if there is no internet connection.

Hopefully in the future, Google will allows the videos to be cached first so that parents with WiFi only gadgets can still have peace of mind for their kids while they are doing their things.

And yes, currently YouTube Kids is only available in US.

SalientEye Home Security Alarm is a solution for your home security by utilizing your Android-powered devices.

SalientEye has the following main features:

• Detect motion: the sensitivity is configurable: low, medium and high
• Alarm a sound when detect motion

The setup is pretty simple, first time using the app, you will be asked to key in password to disarm the app.
By default, SalientEye only activates the alarm feature.
